The International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) has almost halved its requested funding amount for continuing support in North Korea’s flood recovery efforts, the organization announced on Friday.

The amount requested for emergency operations was originally 15,199,723 Swiss Francs. It has now been lowered to 7,421,586, a drop of 48 percent.

The revised plan seeks “to support the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea Red Cross Society in delivering assistance and support to 330,000 people (82,500 households) affected by the floods for 12 months,” the IFRC document said.
