A former high-ranking agent from the National Intelligence Service (NIS) spoke to media on Monday confirming a range of rumors involving South Korea's inter-Korean policies - many that relate to the ongoing "Park-Choi gate" scandal.
“Because of the NIS agent laws, I will not be able to speak in detail,” Koo Hae-woo, the former Assistant Chief of the NIS for North Korea Strategy told DongA Ilbo. “But it is true that Jung Yun-hoe, an ex-husband to Choi Sun-sil, and Jung Ho-sung, a presidential personal secretary, were deeply involved in the inter-Korean and foreign policy making process.”
