Supreme Court gives “pro-North” NGO members 2 year jail sentences

“Authorities’ method of collection of evidence was illegal,” NGO’s attorney says

The South Korean Supreme Court on Thursday confirmed prison sentences had been handed down on members of an allegedly pro-North Korean NGO for multiple violations of the National Security Act.

Three members of the group known as the Corean Alliance for Independent Reunification and Democracy (CAIRD), or more commonly as Corea Ryondae, were sentenced to two years' imprisonment each.
