Work is underway on the Hunchun International Bus Terminal, an all-new transportation hub which will take international passengers between China and North Korea, Hunchun city said last week.

“The new terminal will cover an area of 34,300 square meters with a total estimated investment of 144.82 million yuan (USD21.5 million),” wrote the city’s official website, reporting that the opening ceremony was held on October 10.

The terminal is to be finished sometime next year and is adjacent to the recently built Hunchun Railway Station, located about 3.5 kilometers north of Hunchun city.
