Ahmet Üzümcü, Director-General of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), strongly urged North Korea to reconsider its position on staying out of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) on Thursday.
During a press conference at the Seoul Defense Dialogue (SDD), Üzümcü said that based on publicly available sources the North has a “sophisticated chemical weapons program” and a “large stock of various kinds of chemical weapons”.
