N.Korean money-maker flees European posting: Dong-a Ilbo

North Korea is at a "tipping point" says South Korean expert

A North Korean official linked to the so-called Office 39, a bureau responsible for generating the regime foreign currency, has disappeared from his European posting, South Korean media outlet the Dong-A Ilbo said on Friday.

The official, who was alleged to be in charge of managing Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) funds, had apparently lived in the region for 20 years and possibly conducted operations beyond Western Europe, the Dong-a said, without specifying the country he had been based in.
