North Korea says U.S. imperialism caused Brexit
Editorial emphasizes 'instability' and 'insecurity' of outside world to local readers
North Korean media on Monday published an opinion piece about "Brexit", Britain's exit from the European Union (EU), blaming U.S. imperialism for the shock result of the nationwide referendum on June 23.
According to the piece from the Rodong Sinmun, the Syrian refugee crisis was one of the primary motivators for Brexit, and was in turn caused by "American imperialism".
