UN Security Council holds meeting on N.Korean launch

China remains neutral, urging relevant parties to avoid taking actions that may escalate tension

The UN Security Council held emergency meeting on Wednesday to discuss North Korea’s most recent launch of Hwasong-10, the intermediate-range ballistic missiles (IRBMs) formerly called Musudan.

The meeting was partially aimed at issuing a yet to be released joint press statement from the members of the council.
