North Korea on Monday said the country is prepared both for dialogue with the U.S. as well as “physical measures” to counter its military presence on the Korean Peninsula.

The news came as a South Korean government official said Seoul is planning to have no conversations with Pyongyang until September in an interview with a local newspaper.
