A North Korean envoy to China emphasized Kim Jong Un’s nuclear strategy during a meeting with a high-ranking Chinese diplomat on Tuesday, which could signify a diplomatic shift between Beijing and Pyongyang. At the meeting, the Chinese Communism Party’s foreign relations head Song Tao celebrated Kim Jong Un’s new position, reaffirming the improved friendship alliance between two countries. “Kim Jong Un declared the byungjinpolicy for Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), which parallels establishing the economy and nuclear capacity, to secure peace and stability of the Korean Peninsula,” Pyongyang’s messenger Ri Su Yong told his Chinese counterpart, as quoted by © Korea Risk Group.
