News Minor natural earthquake hits South Phyongan ProvinceSouth Korean official confirms the earthquake not man-made
A minor natural earthquake hit North Korea about 28 kilometers north of Songchon, South Phyongan Province, South Korea’s Korea Meteorological Administration reported Tuesday. South Korean officials confirmed that the earthquake was not man-made. “The natural earthquake with the magnitude of 3.1 has hit South Phyongan Province at 03:23 a.m.,” a researcher from the Earthquake and Volcano Monitoring Division of the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) told NK News, reiterating that the quake was not man-made. “The epicenter is in Unsan County, about 60 kilometers northeast of Pyongyang,” NK News director of intelligence John Grisafi said. “The immediate area around the epicenter © Korea Risk Group.
