North Korea continues to research and produce more advanced solar panels, according to a recently released video from the country’s foreign news service Uriminzokkiri.

The eight-minute segment claims North Korea has developed 300-watt solar panels, adding that the DPRK government is stepping up efforts to mass produce solar panels in country.

“This facility is capable of mass producing highly efficient solar panels with more than 300 watts, with our own technology,” Ri Myung Sun, chief of the Natural Energy Research Institute, part of the Academy of Science says in the video.
