U.S. detects two attempted missile launches in North Korea

Initial South Korean media reports referenced only one attempted missile launch

The United States Strategic Command (STRATCOM) detected two attempted missile launches by North Korea over the past two days, according to a statement on Thursday.

STRATCOM systems was able to track the two launches on Wednesday and Thursday but did not provide a further assessment of the type of missiles involved.
