Six-Party Talks representatives from the U.S., China and South Korea gathered in Beijing to discuss North Korean matters on Thursday, following a meeting between the U.S., South Korea and Japan in Seoul.

The South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) stated the meeting with the Chinese representative on Friday will cover prevention of further provocations by North Korea based on the summit between two countries.

“While sharing evaluations of the current status of the Korean Peninsula, the meeting will discuss comprehensive cooperation measures, including prevention of North Korea’s additional provocations and firm implementation of the UN Security Council resolution,” ministry spokesperson Cho
