The UN Security Council (UNSC) on Monday removed four ships from a blacklist published as part of Resolution 2270 on March 2.

Thirty-one ships were originally designated because of ties to North Korean shipping company Ocean Maritime Management (OMM), which organised weapons smuggling from Cuba in 2013.

“The Committee notes that new measures have been taken to establish confidence that these vessels are not operated or controlled by Ocean Maritime Management.  In light of these measures, the Committee has therefore decided to remove these vessels from the list of those operated or controlled by Ocean Maritime Management,” a UNSC press
