News North Korean naval base goes through major reconstructionModernized and computerized, expanded dock measures 890 meters
Recent satellite imagery and an article from Rodong Sinmun revealed that the October 3rd Factory, or Munchon Naval Base, has recently gone through a major expansion and reconstruction phase. The naval facility is only few kilometers north of Wonsan, and is now complete with a 890 meter long dock and shore protection. “Kim Jong Un gave field guidance to the October 3 Factory, which has gone through continuous work to construct a site that is as big as 51,750 square meters,” the Rodong Sinmun article published on Tuesday reads.
