North Korea media once again claimed the country’s newly launched satellite was operational yesterday, this time citing Russia’s National Space Monitoring Center, whose director told media it was operating normally.

Speaking to Russian News Service Radio in on February 22, Andrei Kallyuta the head of the organization said the Kwangmyongsong-4 was originally tumbling in orbit, but had since stabilized.

“The National Space Monitoring Center under the air and space forces of the Russian Defence Ministry confirmed that the DPRK’s earth observation satellite Kwangmyongsong-4 is now normally operating,” the article, published by the DPRK’s Naenara web portal reads.
