China again suggests peace, denuclearization talks on N.Korea

China indicates flexibility, including openness to South Korea's five-party talks suggestion

China reiterated its call for parallel denuclearization and peace treaty talks for the Korean Peninsula on Tuesday, and indicated it may accept South Korea’s suggestion for five-party talks.

With China’s National People’s Congress, their largest political event, underway the spokesperson for the event argued the necessity to begin “peace talks” to attract Pyongyang to the negotiation table in addition to the Six-Party Talks.
