U.S Senate unanimously passes N.Korea sanctions bill

News comes on the same day Japan adds to sanctions on North Korea visits and shipping

The U.S. Senate unanimously voted on Wednesday to bolster sanctions on North Korea in the wake of its February 7 satellite launch.

The bill follows earlier legislation passed last month by the House of Representatives on the heels of January’s nuclear test. The two events have likely solidified support around the bills and could mean any differences between them are resolved speedily.
