Seoul considers further sanctions on N.Korean shipping

New measures would target vessels that have come from North Korean ports

South Korea is considering a ban on ships that have sailed from ports in the North, Ministry of Unification (MoU) spokesperson Jeong Joon-hee said Monday at a press briefing.

The new sanction would follow Japan, which enacted similar measures last week in response to North Korea’s recent nuclear test and satellite launch.
