S. Korea warns of ‘severe cost’ of N. Korea’s missile launch

Seoul organized National Security Council, issues warning of stronger sanctions

The South Korean government warned North Korea of a “severe cost” following its notification that it would soon launch a satellite, the security secretary of the Blue House stated on Wednesday morning.

Defining North Korea’s satellite launch as a “long-range missile,” Seoul convened its National Security Council (NSC) at 8AM Wednesday following North Korea’s announcement to two UN agencies that it would launch a satellite sometime between February 8 to 25.
