North Korean state-owned website Ryomyong posted an article on Sunday urging all Christians on the Korean Peninsula to stand against the threat of war and the division among ethnic Koreans (minjok), quoting Kim Jong Un’s New Year’s address as a model for good Christians to follow.

The article, written by Kim Hye Sook from the Chosun Christian League is entitled “Let’s promote peace as good Christians.”

“During (his) New Year’s address our dear leader Kim Jong Un taught us that stopping the threat of war on the Korean Peninsula and defending peace and security are the fundamental conditions for the unification of Korea,”
