News Human Rights Watch slams N.Korea over labor conditionsKim Jong Un should account for abuses and international community should take action, report says
An NGO said in a report that North Korea still refuses basic labor rights for workers and urged that Kim Jong Un be held responsible. Human Rights Watch released World Report 2016 yesterday, including a chapter on North Korea which summarizes the North’s human rights situation and how the international community has responded in 2015. “In 2015, his fourth year in power, leader Kim (Jong Un) continued to intensify repression, increased control over the North Korean border with China to prevent North Koreans from escaping and seeking refuge oversees, and tightened restrictions on freedom of movement inside the country,” the © Korea Risk Group.
