N. Korea’s development before, after unification: report

Expert proposes ways to raise funds, monitor distribution, join global economy

A South Korean expert proposed establishing a development bank in North Korea to create a sustainable economic system before and after unification, according to a recently published report from Seoul’s Korea Development Bank (KDB).

Park Hwon-il, a professor at the Kyunghee University Law School, suggested three stages: knowledge sharing, investment attraction by connecting resources and social overhead capital (SOC), and cooperating with North Korea to join international finance organizations.
