Kim Jong Un mourns fourth year of Kim Jong Il’s death

Despite famine, defectors divided on the former North Korean leaders regime

Kim Jong Un visited Kumsusan Palace of Sun on Thursday to mourn fourth year of Kim Jong Il’s death, according to North Korean media today. The articles take the expectedly reverential tone, though defector interviews conducted by NK News indicate contrasting ideas on former North Korean leader and his era.

On the midnight of Thursday, Kim Jong Un and along with Vice Marshal Hwang Pyong So, Minister of the People's Armed Forces Pak Yong Sik, Chief-of-Staff of KPA Ri Yong Gil, and numerous other high level officials made the trip.
