South and North Korea completed working-level talks at Panmunjeom late Thursday evening, mainly dealing with the seniority of the participants and future agenda of the upcoming intergovernmental talks.

During the talks, which finished at midnight, it was decided that vice ministers will lead the meeting on December 11 at the Kaesong Industrial Complex (KIC).

“(Seoul’s) government has never requested ministerial-level (talks) … We suggested vice ministerial level, and the North suggested ‘designating a vice minister as a leader also,’” Ministry of Unification (MoU) spokesman Jung Joon-hee told journalists on Friday morning.
