The Minjok Tongshin, an outlet made up of Korean-American journalists based in the U.S., recently released a video in which North Koreans insist that they are satisfied with their lives and proud of the leadership.

However, despite the reporter’s claim of having conducted “Western-style” interviews, an observer questioned the idea that his interviews were unscripted.

Noh Kil-nam, a Korean-American journalist based in the U.S. reported on his journey, unveiling video clips from North Korea.

“This time I tried a Western-style interview, trying not to give questions before the interviews,” he said.
