ROK unhappy with North Korea’s Park criticism

Two Koreas trade verbal shots, causing concern ahead of planned family reunions

South Korea’s Ministry of Unification (MoU) expressed displeasure Wednesday over the DPRK’s criticisms of the South Korean president and subsequent threats to the reunions of separated families.

Park gave a speech at the most recent United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday in New York.

“North Korea should immediately stop unilateral arguments, denunciations and threats and they should fulfill the agreement released on August 25,” MoU spokesman Jung Joon-hee said at a regular briefing on Wednesday.
