North Korea on Friday denied burying the landmines in the DMZ that recently caused injuries to two South Korean soldiers patrolling the area.
The statement, published under the byline of the DPRK Committee on National Defense Department of Policy, insisted that there is no clear evidence of the North’s involvement.
“It was impossible for us to remain silent, with the Blue House South Korean puppet military yelling that it is a ‘provocation from the North’ regarding this ‘landmine explosion,’ and with even the UN joining in,” the statement reads.
