Chong Te Se returns to birthplace to continue career after stints playing in both Koreas

A footballer for the North Korean national team is heading back to Japan after two years playing for South Korea’s K League.

Chong Te Se, who was born and raised in Japan before playing for the DPRK squad – including in the 2010 World Cup – has signed with Japan’s Shimizu S-Pulse. The move ends his two and a half-year stint with the Samsung Suwon Bluewings.
