N. Korean capital’s streets filled with cars

Preponderance of SUVs, sedans may reflect poor quality of the North's roads, analyst says

Extensive footage found on KCTV and the Internet shows that Pyongyang’s streets are filled with cars, proving that, whatever the state of North Korea's economy its capital is not as empty as one might imagine.

KCTV’s news footage on Thursday featured a series of interviews with Pyongyang citizens answering how they feel about three North Korean fishermen who recently defected to South Korea and refused to be repatriated back to the North. The interview itself contained little significant content, but in the background a torrent of cars could be seen on the streets of Pyongyang.
