DPRK serviceman reportedly in his late teens, crossed the DMZ this morning

A North Korean soldier has defected across the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) to South Korea, according to an anonymous official from Seoul’s Ministry of National Defense (MND).

The soldier is reportedly in his late teens and crossed the border at Hwacheon, in South Korea’s northeastern Gangwon Province. His reasons for doing so are currently unknown.
