North Korea reports on South’s MERS outbreak

Following end of strict Ebola quarantine, DPRK yet to take similar steps on new outbreak

North Korea’s Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported Sunday on the MERS outbreak in South Korea, indicating concern over the disease, but has yet to take strict quarantine measures.

The KCNA report stated that 13 ROK patients had been infected with Middle East Respiratory Syndrome. In actuality, as of Monday the number of South Korean patients had been confirmed at 15.
