Russia’s Minister for Far East Development called for a visa-free regime with the DPRK at a meeting of the North Korea-Russia business cooperation council on Saturday.

Alexendar Galushka said he hoped such a system would increase tourism and visits from potential investors to North Korea.

“We should move toward a visa-free regime between the Russian Federation and North Korea for the purpose of development of tourism,” Galushka said in comments carried by Interfax news agency.

“You always have to remember that today – a tourist, tomorrow – the investor,” Galushaka said in a press release from the Ministry of Far East Developments
