North Korea’s Oil Minister Pae Hak met with the chairman of Gazprom’s Management Committee in Moscow, according to a Gazprom press release issued Tuesday.

The news comes just one day after Russia’s Ministry for the Far East announced the Russian energy giant’s interest in exploring for North Korean gas reserves.

“The parties discussed areas of cooperation in the gas sector,” the press release reads.

It did not, however, reveal the results of the meeting, or if there would be others in the near future.

Gazprom’s press department declined to comment on the news.
