North Korean state media has said on Wednesday that military confrontation is the only option the country has left in its interactions with South Korea, due to the ongoing joint U.S.-ROK military drills.

The statements were published in an article by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), largely quoting an editorial in the Rodong Sinmun newspaper

“It is quite obvious that the DPRK can hardly have any hope or expectation for dialogue and improved relations now that the south Korean puppet warmongers kicked off the provocative military drills for invading the DPRK in league with the U.S.,” the KCNA quoted the Rodong Sinmun
