North Korea is well-known for its huge productions in the form of rallies and parades celebrating and promoting important current and historical events.

Chris Springer, author of Pyongyang: The Hidden History of the North Korean Capital, explained that “through such political (theater), the regime creates its own reality.”

The political posters and other visual elements on display at the events are perhaps the most obvious demonstration of Springer’s assertion.
