North Korean human rights activist Suzanne Scholte has fallen short in her effort to win the U.S. Congressional seat in Virginia’s 11th district.

With 96 percent of precincts reporting, Connolly had received 56.9 percent of the vote to Scholte’s 40. A pair of third party candidates had won 1.7 and 0.9 percent.
