North Korea has reacted angrily to the adoption of a draft resolution on its human rights situation, which passed a UN General Assembly committee vote on Tuesday.

State media outlet the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) published an article Wednesday containing forceful statements from the DPRK’s UN delegation in response to the vote.

“My delegation once again categorically rejects the ‘resolution’,” the article read.

“In light of ever more unscrupulous human rights campaign undertaken by the hostile forces against the DPRK, we shall keep in our hearts the pride and honor about the socialist system,” it added.
