N. Korea requests Uganda to oppose International Criminal Court resolution

Pyongyang wants Uganda to reject possible human rights resolution at United Nations General Assembly

KAMPALA – North Korea has requested Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni’s support to block efforts to summon Kim Jong Un before the International Criminal Court.

North Korea's Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Kung Suk Ung made the request at a meeting on Friday, urging Uganda to reject a United Nations resolution that may seek to prosecute DPRK leaders for human rights abuse at The Hague.
