N. Korea sanctions and Mt. Kumgang tours open for discussion – Unification Minister

Minister of Unification outlines topics of discussion for high-level talks

South Korea may be willing to negotiate with North Korea over a reduction of economic sanctions and a possible resumption of tours to Mount Kumgang, its minister for unification said on Wednesday.

Potential progress on the two issues, which follows a surprise high-level North Korean delegation visit to South Korea on the weekend, came as Minister Minister Ryoo Kihl-jae said they could be topics of discussion at a planned second round of inter-Korean talks.
