North Korea’s Yongbyon nuclear complex is still active, according to a report by the Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS) published Wednesday.

ISIS, citing satellite imagery, said that recent activity at Yongbyon is evidence of North Korea’s renewed efforts to acquire nuclear materials for its weapons program.

“The June 30th satellite imagery, combined with procurement data obtained by ISIS, suggests that North Korea is emphasizing the production of weapon-grade plutonium as well as enriched uranium for its nuclear weapons program,” the report said.
