The North Korean government is in the process of replacing all of its 5000 won notes with new, redesigned ones, sources inside the DPRK told Daily NK on Thursday.
In a move which reportedly intends to replace every 5000 won note in circulation by 2017, the old notes, which feature Kim Il Sung, will be replaced by notes featuring an image of the birthplace of Kim Jong Un, according to Daily NK sources.
