North Korea marked the 61st anniversary of the Korean War Armistice Agreement on Sunday with subdued celebrations compared to those in 2013.

A number of art, dance and cultural performances were held to mark the “Victory Day” celebrations. Although Kim Jong Un attended a missile launch on July 26, there were no major events or rallies to mark the anniversary.

North Korean state media however were keen to publicize the events and celebrations, publishing a series of editorials, articles and images commemorating the day.
