North Korea has released a serious of reports criticizing South Korea’s Defense Ministry spokesman, who recently said North Korea is “not a country.”
Kim criticized North Korea at Monday’s briefing in Seoul, saying that North Korea exists only for one person.
A report from North Korea’s National Defense Commission (NDC) released by Korea Central News Agency (KCNA) on May 13, Defense Ministry spokesman Kim Min-seok was referred to as “idiot-like.” The report insisted that such reckless remarks have never been made in the “distress-torn history” of national division.
The report quickly switched its criticism toward the South Korean President Park Geun-hye, saying Park, “who claims to be president,” has to stammer out American English when she is in the U.S. to play the coquette with her American master.
The report also called South Korea a “colony” of the United States in which people have to eat beef infected with mad cow disease offered by the U.S. without complaint.
In addition, the KCNA posted a statement released by the spokesman for North Korea’s Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea, which also harshly criticized Kim and Park.
The statement introduced a serious of news reports by South Korean media who said Kim’s comments went too far.
The statement concluded that Park should immediately punish Kim, and if the Blue House stays quiet it will pay a very high price.
Kim walked back his criticisms of the North on Tuesday, explaining that they were motivated by sadness caused by the suffering of the North Korean people, and the hopes of seeing the situation in the North improve.
