Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott visited the border between North and South Korea on Wednesday, blasting the North as an “outlaw state” and a “threat to world peace.”

Abbott’s visit to the DMZ came as part of a visit to South Korea which included signing a free trade agreement between his country and Seoul.

While at the heavily fortified border area, Abbott briefly stepped into North Korean territory, venturing close to North Korean military personnel stationed on Pyongyang’s side of the border.
