UK Foreign Office spends $1 million on North Korea projects

Former British Charge D'Affaires to Pyongyang says money well spent

The UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) spent about $1 million (£598,640) on the British embassy in Pyongyang and related North Korea projects in fiscal year 2013/2014, the Washington D.C. based Voice of America (VOA) reported on Thursday.

VOA’s report was based on comments made by Hugo Swire, the FCO's Minister of State, to the UK Parliament on February 24.
