South Korea’s Ministry of Unification announced on February 28 that it tried to deliver the notice to Pyongyang through Panmunjeom, but Pyongyang refused to receive it, Yonhap News Agency reported yesterday. The South Korean missionary, 51-year-old Kim Jung Wook, has been detained in North Korea since October. Kim appeared at a press conference in Pyongyang two days ago, apologizing for his “anti-state” crimes. North Korea has rejected a notice from the South Korean government urging Pyongyang to release a detained South Korean missionary.

South Korea’s Ministry of Unification announced on February 28 that it tried to deliver the notice to Pyongyang through Panmunjeom, but Pyongyang refused to receive it, Yonhap News Agency reported yesterday.

The South Korean missionary, 51-year-old Kim Jung Wook, has been detained in North Korea since October.
