Advert promoting unification appears in Times Square

Korean American businessman pays for billboard, wishing to draw attention to presidential speech

A billboard advertising the importance of Korean unification has appeared in New York’s Times Square, a famous advertising venue for major brands and events.

The sign reads “Korean unification would be an immeasurable bonanza, for any nations with interests in the Korean Peninsula," (통일은 대박이다 ) quoting a speech that South Korean President Park Geun-hye gave earlier this year. Park is also pictured in the advert, shaking hands with President Obama.
