North Korea is increasingly promoting the use of wind energy, Japan-based pro-North Korea media Choson Sinbo reported on Tuesday.

“The development of wind energy has been conducted in the country from long ago under the care of the government, and an effort in maximizing efficiency of wind energy has been eagerly made in North Korea,” the Choson Sinbo said.

The paper, which is funded by the Japan based pro-DPRK General Association of Korean Residents, added that North Korea is trying its best to invest in renewable energy business, including wind energy, and it is encouraged to cooperate with an international community.
